This festival’s goal is to connect and inform people with wellness professionals and holistic programs. The day will provide a schedule of educational workshops, demonstrations, services and person to person dialogue on the many holistic practices and service available.

The Collaborators

JESSICA HOWARD
POTEGP Spiritual Guidance Center & The Heron Dance Yoga & Meditation Studio
As host of the festival, Jessica will be around to inform and answer questions about the festival and its collaborators. She will discuss the center’s programming and will provide a sign-up sheet for appointments. As a final wrap up of events @ 1:45pm, Jessica will lead discussion and brief lab on setting intentions/goals and the power of self-examination through insight.

SHABNAM HASHEMI
Breast Care Natural Foundation
Shabnam will review the latest research and literature on Integrative Oncology practices. She will demonstrate her approach to alleviating fear and “fight or flight” response and answer questions regarding the Foundation and services offered.


Wellness Demo Sessions

Mala Meditation with Jenna Petersens
20-30 minutes
session held @ 10:30 am
this guided meditation will introduce the jhana-method technique of using the mala or prayer beads with a mantra. A brief introduction to the technique will take place before the guided experience.

Restorative Partner Yoga with Ashley Gallagher
30 minute Demo-session
sessions available @ 11:15 am & 1:15 pm
Beginner yoga poses mixed with different massage techniques to restoratively lengthen muscles and find deep relaxation through touch. This demo will explain the physical and mental health benefits throughout the class along with variations for the postures.

The Emotional Fatigue Buster with Deb Brown
30 minute, $5.00
sessions held @ 12pm
This Yoga session includes pranayama techniques and a simple meditation.

Foot Reflexology with Christine E. Lewis
15 minute intro session, $10
sessions available @ 10:30 am, 10:50am, 11:10 am, 11:30 am, 11:50am, 12:10pm, 12:30pm, 12:50pm, 1:10 pm & 1:30 pm
Reflexology is a gentle art, a fascinating science and is a specific pressure technique that works on precise reflex point on the feet. Reflexologists DO NOT isolate a disease and treat it symptomatically, nor do they work specifically on a problem organ or system, but on the whole person with the object of inducing a state of balance and harmony.
