Dancing Through the Ages

This is a thoughtful and appropriate dance class that allows participants to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional effects of the aging body! This class offers a chance for instructors and participants to find joy within the community through movement and music.  The model of this class is inspired from the Dance for PD program, and is suitable for those in a chair or with movement limitations. Modifications are given within the class structure. Age is just a number, movement is essential to life, so come dance with us! Currently this program is not offered, but we hope to again soon.

Beats & Breath, Ages 15 +

An inclusive experience where we come together and sync the rhythm of our breath with the rhythm of music!

We begin each class with a warm up of breath, movement and light stretching to prepare for our drumming routines. There are three uniquely choreographed routines. Each with a new drumming pattern offers a fun way to count out different rhythmic patterns. A student chosen freestyle drumming song closes our drum sequence. Exercise balls are used as our drum and prop for stretching and compression in our cool down sequence. Each class closes with a group check in on how we are feeling.

The entire experience is fun, confidence building and welcomes conversation and peer interaction.   In Beats & Breath students get to express themselves through music and movement in a fun and free way with the support of prompts.

Limited Spaces available, Advance RSVP required. To learn more about the program and dates offered,  Contact Jessica Howard | 774-264-0786
