A sedentary lifestyle, for anyone, leads to de-conditioning. Inactivity can result in loss of muscle tone and disuse weakness, poor postural alignment and control, decreased bone density (and resulting increased risk of fracture), and shallow, inefficient breathing.

Movement & Meditation (MoMe) can decrease the risk of heart disease & ones resting blood pressure, aid sleep, strengthens bones, and increases flexibility, endurance, energy while elevating one’s sense of well being.

Why wait, break bad habits and make MoMe a habit for life…

There are many reasons why you can’t get here, AND we get it…We understand life throws challenges left and right. BUT you can learn tools to handle those challenges and meet life with grace…be your own super hero by defeating your worst enemy a.k.a. rationalization !

Yesterday February 18th we had a new moon…symbolic of a fresh slate – new beginnings. Often winter can make us negative – its long, cold, and dark. But there are also qualities it brings that deserve appreciation. The fact that it gives time to reflect, to rest & contemplate. Take a moment and examine your habits, if you feel you are in need of a change, the time is ripe for a fresh start!

The Heron/POTEGP does its best to make MoMe practices available and economic, so they can be sustainable life habits! We have the lowest prices around. Drop ins starting at $8 to our sliding scale membership packages and benefits. We offer a range of classes and workshops and are always receptive to your feedback.

You may be thinking… you pay for what you get…right?  We keep our rates reduced because our center is a charitable non-profit and we truly care to make our quality services affordable life practices.

So if you have been putting your sense of wellbeing off because the laundry list of reasons – just consider the longterm…its only your health. I know this may be hard to hear.  A great friend often would quote from a movie i can’t recall, something that goes like…I can be kind and I can tell the truth – I just cannot do it at the same time.

May peace be with you!
