Catherine graduated from her 200 hour yoga instructor course in May 2016 from Raffa Yoga and trained under the direction of Christine Raffa and Valerie Knopik with emphasis on Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. Her focus is new students while making yoga welcome to everyone. “Many of my fellow baby boomers consider yoga as pretzel exercise and I want resolve the perception and introduce them to the true mind body connection. Everybody can do yoga and it is a life long journey.” Catherine is presently a member of Yoga Alliance.
She graduated from Baystate Medical Center 1980 and then furthered her studies at RIC and URI. She is an RN and employed at RIH for the past 37 years. Presently, she works in the Comprehensive Spine Center and hopes to introduce yoga as an adjunct to treatment for patients with neck and back pain. She is certified in Pain Management and Emergency Care. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, skiing, tennis, gardening, scrapbooking, sewing and home decorating. The home she shares with her husband in Swansea abuts a small vineyard where she harvests Chardonnay grapes. She is a mother to 4 wonderful adult sons and one beautiful daughter in law.
